My name is AnneMarie Garza-Garcia, and I am honored and excited to serve as the Principal of Cedar Creek Middle School. After proudly serving our Eagle community as Assistant Principal for the past two years, I am grateful for the opportunity to continue leading and supporting our students, staff, and families in this new role.

This year marks my 22nd year in education, and I remain deeply committed to ensuring every student has access to a high-quality education and the opportunities they need to thrive. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University–College Station and two Master's degrees in Education from The University of Texas at Austin in Educational Leadership and Bilingual/Bicultural Education. Throughout my career, I have served as an elementary bilingual teacher, instructional coach, and Bilingual Coordinator before joining Bastrop ISD.

I live in Kyle, Texas, with my husband, Adrian, and our two children. As a second-language learner, first-generation college graduate, and the daughter of a Mexican immigrant, I understand firsthand the transformative power of education. Those experiences continue to shape my belief that every child deserves to be seen, challenged, supported, and celebrated.

At Cedar Creek Middle School, our theme this year is Every Eagle Matters. We believe every student has unique strengths, limitless potential, and deserves to feel valued every day. Together, we will Soar Together by creating a culture of high expectations, meaningful relationships, and unwavering support for all learners.

A strong partnership between home and school is essential to student success. I believe our greatest accomplishments happen when families and educators work together with a shared purpose. I encourage you to stay connected, communicate with us often, and become an active part of our Eagle community. Together, we can help every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
