In the release of the 2026 TEA campus and district ratings, Bastrop ISD is reporting meaningful academic progress across the district, with more campuses earning higher accountability ratings, improved student performance in reading and mathematics, and gains among emergent bilingual students.

A Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Bastrop Independent School District will be held Thursday, August 13, 2026, beginning at 5:30 PM in the Jerry Fay Wilhelm Center for the Performing Arts.

On August 14, Bastrop ISD will celebrate joining Verizon Innovative Learning—Verizon’s award-winning education initiative which addresses barriers to digital inclusion—with a kickoff at Creekside and Riverside Middle Schools in which students will receive their own devices.
