Welcome Parents/Guardians and Students:
I am excited to return to Cedar Creek Middle School (CCMS) as a Strategic Instruction Model (SIM) Instructional Coach. It is an honor to continue to serve the Cedar Creek community. CCMS students and their families, administration, teachers and staff are the best!
This year, 2017-2018 our theme is "relationships."
Students, their families and/or guardians, are partners with CCMS in the learning, education of our students.
Campus Procedures will follow S.O.A.R.
S=Self-discipline O=Organized A=Acceptance R=Respect
I hold a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Texas A & M University and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Audio Visual Production from Texas State Technical College. My teaching certifications are in EC-4, 4-8 ELA, 4-8 Social Studies, 8-12 English, Special Education, ESL, and Gifted and Talented 30 hours' training with yearly updates.
My husband, son and I moved to the Bastrop area fourteen years ago. My son graduated from Bastrop High School and thanks to his wonderful Automotive Electives' teacher there went on to a technical college and now has a career in the Automotive Industry. I am a very proud grandmother to a wonderful boy. Students, learning, and education are priorities.
Strategic Instruction Model (SIM)
The Strategic Instruction Model (SIM) promotes the effective teaching and learning of critical content by helping teachers identify and use proven learning and planning tools, as well as providing students with a set of skills that will help them learn critical content, or learn how to learn. These strategies support students in middle school as well as throughout their academic careers.
